Account Manager / Inside Sales Representative

We are looking for a talented and hands-on individual to join our team in a diverse Sales position, contributing to our Sales, Sales Operations, Order Fulfillment, and Marketing efforts.
 
The ideal candidate has experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Sales Operations, experience with highly technical products, outstanding English communication skills, experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and is comfortable working directly with tier-one OEM customers. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to and qualify new incoming leads generated by tradeshows and website
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information as well as product samples in a timely manner
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes and returns
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates for open orders to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
  • Set-up new customers and maintain existing customer files
  • Provide sales support to Outside Sales, Manufacturers Reps and Distribution Partners
  • Participate in weekly order fulfillment meetings with project managers at factory
  • Maintain proficiency in using a computer and standard office software (Excel) & ERP system (SAP)
  • Maintain current records of incoming leads and customer info in CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Maintain monthly forecasts for both standard product and custom product orders based on expected customer demand
  • Contribute to the creation of external marketing materials, internal sales collateral, and the execution of marketing campaigns and sales training programs
  • Coordinate incoming shipments of product inventory from overseas factory and outgoing shipments to customers
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • This is a hands-on role that requires someone that is willing to do whatever is necessary to make the product line and business successful
  • Position is located in Redwood City, California – our HQ and location of our Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering teams

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 – 5 years of Inside Sales experience with complex / technical products and services
  • Detail oriented with strong relationship building skills and a passion for customer service
  • Strong and effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to handle, adapt and overcome objection
  • Business professional with the ability to take direction and execute
  • Strong organization skills to keep track of transactions and follow-up with many customers in parallel
  • Must be a self-starter who learns quickly and is able to perform in a rapidly changing environment
  • Technical background is preferred
  • Experience in the electronics industry is a plus
